Celebrating Client Successes!
The start of 2023 has not gone according to plan!
In some ways, that's a good thing, and in some ways...not so much. But, I will keep rolling with the punches, and chip away at the mountain of words ahead of me.
There is no video update for the Million Words Project this week. My production schedule has been hit hard by January's sneaky shenanigans. Each new video takes about four hours of prep time, between preparing my remarks, gathering resources, filming, editing, and posting the video, and I was unable to carve out that time this week. The Million Words updates will return shortly.
In the mean time, I wanted to celebrate with a couple of clients who have recently had some success.
First up, if you've been around my blog for a while, you'll remember Yvonne Aarden.
She worked with me to write her first book, Intersecting Heartbeats, which she published in 2018. Last year, here second book, Intersecting Traditions, was published.
Recently, the audio book version of Intersecting Traditions was made available on Audible, read by Yvonne herself! How fun!
Also of interest is this interview of Yvonne for the local-access program BookEnds, broadcast from Walnut Creek, California, just outside of San Francisco. This in-depth look into Yvonne's writing journey, the stories behind her two books, and her writing life makes for an interesting program. (And, she is very generous in the number of times she mentions Yours Truly.)

The second big win was for my client, Theodore Rickles.
Ted and I began to work together through my freelance writing role with Story Terrace, a company that helps match writers and story tellers, and then helps them produce wonderful keepsake-worthy biographies. I've been doing projects with Story Terrace for a number of years, and I thoroughly enjoy helping a wide range of individuals tell their life stories.
Ted ended up taking his book to a whole other level! His story is a unique and he explores the lessons learned from an unconventional life. His book recently went live on Amazon, and I know Ted was very happy to have the opportunity to share his life with readers.
You can check out Catching Lameds on Amazon in e-book, paperback, and hardcover editions! Congrats Ted!
